Controlling with your voice

Go hands-free with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri.

Voice assistants make controlling your smart home effortless. Here's how to set up voice commands for your Rove devices.

1. Link Your Voice Assistant

1. Open the Smart Life App.
2. Navigate to "Me" and tap "Third-Party Services."
3. Choose your assistant: Alexa, Google Assistant, or Smart Things. For Siri, tap on "HomeKit Information" to set up.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Smart Life account.

2. Discover Your Devices

1. Open your voice assistant's app (e.g., Alexa app).
2. Go to "Devices"
3. Ensure your smart devices are listed.

3. Use Voice Commands

Start controlling your home by saying:

• “Alexa, turn on the living room light.”
• “Hey Google, set the bedroom light to 50% brightness.”
• “Siri, turn off the coffee maker.”

Tips for Voice Control

• Assign easy-to-remember names to your devices in the Smart Life app.
• Group devices by room for efficient commands (e.g., “Turn off all lights in the kitchen”).
